Seven Sundays Devotion to St. Joseph
**Correction to what is in this weekend's bulletin**
On December 8, 2020 Pope Francis announced that the Church will celebrate the YEAR OF ST. JOSEPH through December 8, 2021 In his accompanying Apostolic Letter (Patris Corde, With a Father’s Heart) the Pope also encouraged us “to increase our love for this great saint, to implore his intercession and to imitate his virtues and his zeal.”
The Seven Sundays Devotion to St. Joseph is an effective way for our Parish Family to join with the Universal Church in celebrating this very important member of the Holy Family and to reverence and grow closer to him. The devotion includes a meditation on the seven sorrows and seven joys of St. Joseph. Accordingly, our Cathedral Parish will begin praying the ancient Seven-Sunday Devotion to Saint Joseph on the seven consecutive Sundays beginning on January 31, 2021.
All parishioners are invited to participate in this brief devotional service that will begin 20 minutes before the 10:30 am Mass on January 31, 2021 and on each of the Sundays leading to the Feast of St. Joseph on March 19, 2021. Please come … let us pray together!
Fr. John's Thursday evening Bible Study on the Gospel of Mark is scheduled to resume on
Thursday, February 25th, 2021.
