7 YEARS AND UP
First Communion Classes
The two years spent preparing to receive First Communion is a special time in the life of a child. They are taught about their faith (at an age-appropriate level), make friends, and are prepared to receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist.
The best time for a child to start First Communion classes is in first grade, but we also offer classes for those who are starting later. Classes are offered for those in grades 1-2, for those in grades 3-5, and for those in grades 6 and higher.
For the 2025-2026 year, First Communion classes (for grades 1-2) are on Tuesday afternoon from 4:15 to 5:30 pm or evenings from 6:00 to 7:15 pm (for grades 1-5). First Communion classes (for grades 6+) are on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:15 pm.
Classes will begin late September/early October and run through May.
MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL
Confirmation Classes
The Holy Spirit bestows seven gifts upon someone who receives the Sacrament of Confirmation: an increase in Wisdom, Understanding, Right Judgment, Courage, Knowledge, Piety, and Wonder and Awe.
Confirmation classes are available for students in 7th grade or above. Typically, a student begins Confirmation classes as they enter middle school, but they are welcome to participate through their mid-teens. (For an adult, preparation for Confirmation should be completed through the RCIA program.)
For the 2025-2026 year, Confirmation classes (Year 1 and Year 2) are available on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm. For students in 7th grade, Confirmation classes (Year 1) are also available on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:15 pm.
Confirmation classes will begin early February and will run through the end of May.
Confirmation Mass will be on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at the 5pm Mass.
