Ministries at The Cathedral Parish of St. Ignatius

By our baptism, we are called to share the Good News of Jesus Christ first by the example of our lives and second, the manner in which we use our time, talent, and treasure to build up the Body of Christ within the Cathedral community of St. Ignatius of Loyola parish.

Faith education-while the Faith is transmitted to us primarily through reception of the Sacraments of Initiation, the faith must also be known and nurtured once it has been transmitted. Our parish community provides educational ministries that provide opportunities for faith formation as well as faith growth for all ages. Our religious education program for our children and young adults runs from kindergarten through ninth grade, culminating in the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation. Our parish is fortunate to have a vibrant Youth Program featuring Life Teen Masses as well as field trips, outings, and retreats. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a sacramental preparation program designed for adults of other faiths who desire to join us in the Catholic faith. The RCIA is specifically suited for adults of other faiths or those who’ve never been baptized. Additionally, we have Adult Faith Formation programs which include lectures, retreats, and Bible Study programs designed to nourish and sustain adult faith.
